The injury list has grown at Ipswich Town after their game against Sheffield United.

Ipswich managed to pick up a point against Sheffield United with mid-table looking increasingly likely to be where they will finish the season in.

They started the season strongly but have devolved into an inconsistent team since with nine points separating them from the play-offs.

Although their next match against Hull City is a game in hand.

Dominic Iorfa has joined Mustapha Carayol on the injury list for the Hull game after picking up a thigh strain which saw him substituted in the game against Sheffield United, according to the official Ipswich Town site.

The young English defender is on loan from Wolves and has seen plenty of gametime under Mick McCarthy on the right side of defence as either a right-back or a right wing-back.

The Verdict

This is a bigger blow for Iorfa than it is for the team because he isn't a guaranteed starter so it gives his replacement Jordan Spence chance to assert a claim over the position because the two of them have alternated starts in that position over the last few games.

Iorfa has certainly benefitted from his loan spell because it's unlikely that he would have been able to break into the first-team at Wolves, so it's a shame that he picked an injury during this impressive spell.

Ipswich do have a replacement so it shouldn't affect them too much especially because Hull are one of the weaker sides in the division.
