Derby County have reportedly not had a bid accepted for Liverpool attacker Harry Wilson amid reports that a permanent move is the only way he will leave Anfield this summer.

The 23-year-old has been sent out on loan in each of the last three seasons – proving successful at Hull in 2017/18 (seven goals and four assists in 13 appearances), Derby in 2018/19 (18 goals and six assists in 50), and Bournemouth in 2019/20 (seven goals and two assists in 31).

It looks as though it may be difficult for the Welshman to force his way into the side at Liverpool, who claimed their first Premier League title last season, but he has not been short of suitors – with Aston Villa and Wolves among the sides linked.

A report from Sky Sports has revealed that the attacker, who is capable of playing on both flanks and as a number 10, will only leave the Anfield outfit on a permanent deal this summer and if that doesn't happen will be part of Jurgen Klopp's first team squad.

Rumours have emerged on Twitter suggesting that the Rams have had a permanent bid accepted for Wilson but, according to reputable journalist Alan Nixon, these are false and that has not happened.

What club did Derby County sign each of these 14 players on loan from?

The Verdict

Nixon is a reputable source when it comes to most transfer matters, so it's useful to see him clarify that Derby and Liverpool have not agreed a deal over Wilson.

It would've been a shock move in all honesty. The 23-year-old would surely be commanding a transfer fee north of £10 million and has proved himself at Premier League level, which makes Pride Park an unrealistic destination.

The Rams do need to improve their forward line but they need to be looking at players more in their price range, something fans will be hoping they're doing already.
