Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant is reportedly set for a West Bromwich Albion medical tomorrow with a deal worth around £15 million agreed between the two clubs.

Albion's pursuit of the 23-year-old has been an ongoing saga throughout the summer window and with just a few days left for EFL clubs to complete transfers, it appears major progress has finally been made.

According to The Telegraph's John Percy, Grant is set to have a medical with the Baggies on Thursday after they agreed a deal with Huddersfield for the striker at the top of Slaven Bilic's list.

It is understood that the two clubs have agreed terms for a transfer worth in the region of £15 million.

West Brom were promoted to the Premier League last term and their need to add a new striker has been clear throughout the summer, with Grant top of their list throughout the window.

The striker fired in 19 goals for the Terriers last season and was integral to ensuring they remained a Championship side.

The Baggies are understood to have had a number of bids rejected by Huddersfield this term with the finances and structure of the deal seemingly an issue – though it appears a solution has been found.

Do Wolves and West Brom have these 10 things in common?

The Verdict

This is fantastic news for West Brom, who desperately needed to sign a new striker before the window closes.

Even before Hal Robson-Kanu's arm injury, Bilic looked short of the sort of number nine that could help his side stay in the Premier League this summer.

Grant's exit has looked likely throughout the window but the Terriers will surely be looking to land a replacement before Friday's deadline.

If they don't, you'd be concerned about the quality of the options available to Carlos Corberan.
