Jarrod Bowen has his heart set on a move to Newcastle United, according to reports from The Athletic.

The young forward is in talks regarding a £20million move to West Ham United with Bowen said to be on his way to East London to discuss the move, however Sky Sports have revealed that these talks have stalled.

With Bowen's future seemingly up in the air, The Athletic have claimed that the 23-year-old would favour a move to Tyneside however no formal bid has been made by Steve Bruce's side.

The report says: "Jarrod Bowen would prefer a move to Newcastle United over West Ham but there has been no contact between Newcastle and the winger's club Hull City, The Athletic understands.

"The 23-year-old is believed to favour a move to Newcastle, yet suggestions that they and Bournemouth have made late attempts to hijack the deal are wide of the mark.

"Well-placed sources at Hull insist only two Premier League clubs have been in direct contact this week regarding Bowen."

Can you remember the names of these 12 obscure Hull City men? Have a go!

The verdict

The Jarrod Bowen saga looks set to rumble on right through until the 11pm deadline.

A move to West Ham seems like the most likely, however talk of stalled negotiations could put this move in jeopardy.

If reports are to be believed then a move to Newcastle would be his preference, however this means nothing unless they lodge a formal offer for the 23-year-old.

The ball appears to be in West Ham's court at present and I'd be surprised if that deal didn't happen.
