Brentford have submitted a new offer worth £16 million for Hull City forward Keane Lewis-Potter, according to The Sun.

The Bees have seen several bids turned down for the 21-year-old since the start of the year, having first tried their luck during the January transfer window.

A bid in the region of £10 million was rejected by the Tigers hierarchy, according to BBC Humberside's David Burns, and then Thomas Frank's side turned their attentions to Nottingham Forest starlet Brennan Johnson.

Now they have secured their Premier League status for another year though, Brentford have targeted Lewis-Potter once again, and 90min claimed last week that they'd had another offer turned down following his 12-goal haul in the Championship this past season.

Now though, the Bees are set to test the resolve of Acun Ilicali once again with another eight-figure offer as they try and fend off rival top flight interest for Lewis-Potter.

Per the report, Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United are all still keen on Lewis-Potter as well, with FLW exclusively revealing last week that at the time, the Hammers were leading the chase.

The Verdict

Brentford seem very persistent and keen in their bid to try and bring Lewis-Potter to the Bees this summer.

With the way they started their Premier League campaign, the winger would probably not fit into Thomas Frank's system, but as the campaign wore on, the Dane reverted to playing with a three-forward formation - one that Lewis-Potter could naturally slot in to.

In May, Hull owner Ilicali stated that not even £30 million would tempt him to sell Lewis-Potter, which would render Brentford's new bid pointless.

It seems incredibly unlikely though that anyone is going to bid that amount of money this summer based on what Lewis-Potter has done right now, so perhaps the Tigers will keep hold of him after all.
