Blackburn Rovers are the latest Championship club to register their interest in signing Liverpool's Harry Wilson, according to Football Insider.

Wilson has already been the subject of interest from East Midlands rivals Derby County and Nottingham Forest in recent days, whilst Swansea City and Cardiff are both sniffing around for the Welshman's services.

The 23-year-old, who was recently left out of Jurgen Klopp's Champions League squad, is surplus to requirements at Anfield and will be hoping to move out on loan in order to enhance his chances of being named in Ryan Giggs' Wales squad for next summer's European Championships.

Wilson's only appearance for the Reds came in their EFL Cup time against Arsenal earlier this month and Liverpool are open to selling the attacker, although the Merseyside outfit want a loan fee of more than £1-million.

He's enjoyed successful loan spells at Championship sides Derby County and Hull City in recent seasons, before spending last term at Bournemouth in which scored seven goals in 35 appearances despite their relegation.

However, Wilson's performances weren't enough to convince Klopp, which has seen him not involved in any of Liverpool's four Premier League matches, prompting his imminent departure.

The Verdict

Signing Wilson would taste sweet for Blackburn, but just the fact they'd be getting one of the best second-tier attackers, but more so than their arch rivals Burnley failed in their attempts to sign him earlier in the window.

Wilson is a versatile attacker that's thrived at this level before. His goals for Derby were vital to their play-off push in 2018/19 and his Premier League experience will have done him good over the last 12 months.

He'd be some coup for Rovers.
