Ipswich Town fell to another defeat against a promotion rival as they were battered 4-1 at home to Peterborough on Saturday.
The Tractor Boys were way below par on the day, with several individuals, including keeper Will Norris, struggling on what was a forgettable afternoon.
Perhaps the most worrying aspect for Paul Lambert was the fact that The Posh totally merited the big win.
As you would expect, the fans were furious after the game and even though Ipswich sit fourth in the table and firmly in the hunt for automatic promotion, there is a worry the team won’t bounce back to the Championship at the first attempt.
And, some fans are not at all pleased with Lambert, even though the Scotsman recently signed a long-term contract that will keep him at Portman Road until 2025.
So, there’s no doubt that he will remain in charge for the rest of the season but some supporters have been calling for change following the Peterborough defeat.
Here we look at some of the comments from Twitter…
LAMBERT AND EVANS GET OUT OF OUR CLUB. Cheers #itfc

People that say “we are in a good position” are wrong. We aren’t in a good position, it’s an absolute failure if we don’t get automatics. Hands down the best squad in this league and we aren’t using it properly. Evans and Lambert out #itfc

Today Lambert did nothing wrong.
The old cliche “a week is a long time in football” seems so apt this week #itfc
Let’s not let a bad week turn into a bad month.
We’re right in the mix heading into final third of the season 🤞

Has Lambert told us about the time he played for Dortmund? Apparently that's relevant in every interview.

Very disappointed in Lambert and his comments. Some very wishy washy excuses and a real lack of leadership. Doesn't sound like a manager that holds his personnel accountable for standards or performance, nor one that sounds bothered that we're losing ground to rivals. Poor. #itfc

I hate how Lambert keeps calling this a young squad? Can a journo call him out on this before the next game?? It isn’t a young squad at all and it’s not excuse #itfc
