Dwight Gayle has given his manager Darren Moore real cause to put him into his starting eleven for the weekend, following an impressive debut versus Nottingham Forest midweek.

The former Newcastle hitman replaced James Morrison in the 61st minute and his late cameo included some excellent link up play with his new team mates, and he just missed out on scoring the winner when he hit the post on 82 mins.

A proven striker at this level, has the 27-year-old done enough to secure a starting berth v Norwich at Carrow Road on Saturday?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

Without doubt.

He looked very sharp when he came on at Forest and should have scored at least once.

He looks set to be a good signing.

Sam Rourke

Absolutely.

He completely changed the game in the Baggies' favour in the week against Forest.

His speed, agility and finishing qualities make him lethal in the Championship.

Gary Hutchinson

Absolutely, he's a certainty isn't he? He changed the complexion of the game when he came on and frankly they don't have a better option.

If he doesn't start then there's serious questions about Darren Moore's awareness for me.

Jay Williams

This is entirely dependent on what happens on deadline day.

If Jay Rodriguez stays, I believe they should stick with the former Southampton striker for the time-being, but slowly start to integrate Gayle into the starting XI.

West Brom need Gayle to be playing as many minutes as possible because he is a proven Championship goal scorer, but he needs to be eased in.
