The Rams secured a double loan deal for highly-rated youngsters Mason Mount and Harry Wilson, before signing winger Florian Jozefzoon from Brentford for around £2.75m.

And, Lampard told the Derby Telegraph that he is still keen on bringing new players in, although he did state that there are no major issues with his current squad.

"I am evaluating all of the time. There isn't glaring positions in the team I need to work on. We would still like to keep improving until the last moment to compete as well as we can compete. So there may be more business for us to do."

He also added that any new arrivals will lead to more departures.

"We obviously cannot have a squad that is too big going into the season. So if we want to keep bringing players in then, yes, there will be some outs."
