Frank Lampard has revealed that Derby will be without Curtis Davies and Tom Huddlestone for Tuesday's game against Ipswich Town at Pride Park.
The experienced pair were both absent as the Rams fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Millwall yesterday, which made it back-to-back losses in the league.
Huddlestone hasn't played this month after suffering an injury in the latter stages of pre-season, whilst Davies hasn't featured since the opening day win over Reading.
The former West Brom man has been a massive miss at the back in particular, with Derby shipping six goals in their past two Championship games.
And, Lampard told the Derby Telegraph that the pair will miss out on Tuesday's clash, although indicated they don't have long-term problems.
"It (the Ipswich game) might be too soon for both. Tom is getting closer, it's more of a match fitness thing. Curtis, we're analysing day by day."
As well as that, Harry Wilson missed out on the game at The Den, suffering with a groin injury.
The Verdict
Derby need both players back, particularly Davies, as they are crucial to this team and provide them with proven experience.
It's clear they have been missed in the past few weeks but it's a long hard season so there's no point taking any risks as we are only in August.
It also gives those players in the team a chance to make a positive impression against Ipswich in the week as the side look to bounce back from yesterday's disappointment.
