Frank Lampard is reportedly in two minds as to whether offer Chelsea youngster Kasey Palmer another chance to shine at Pride Park, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

21-year old Palmer joined the Rams on loan in January, making 14 league appearances.

Only two of those were starts, but he still bagged two goals under former manager Gary Rowett.

Chelsea are now keen to loan out Palmer again but new boss Frank Lampard hasn't yet decided whether to ask the midfield back.

He's reported to be considering his options after taking charge of training for the first time last week.

Palmer is an England U21 international with lots of Championship experience, having played 24 times for Huddersfield as they earned promotion to the Premier League in 2017, extending his loan to a second season..

He was part of the U21 squad that won the 2016 Toulon Tournament, but only made four Premier League appearances for the Terriers before moving to Derby in January.

It was reported that Derby had been given permission to talk to Palmer, but had also accepted a bid from Norwich City to take him on loan.

The Verdict

Frank had better make a choice quickly, because it looks as though Palmer is in demand.

He needs a confidence building move, last year wasn't a success for him and he'll be looking to make an impact somewhere.

If Frank doesn't soon choose, he could well be wearing the yellow of Norwich next season.
