Leeds United will be hoping they can continue their impressive run of form when they return to action against Huddersfield Town this weekend.

The Whites have won their last four league games, and will be looking to extend that run when they take on Danny Cowley's side at Elland Road on Saturday.

Huddersfield Town are currently sat 17th in the Championship table, and have pulled themselves four points clear of the relegation zone after back-t0-back wins against both Bristol City and Charlton Athletic in recent weeks.

Speaking in an interview with HTTV (quotes sourced from the Yorkshire Evening Post), Terriers striker Fraizer Campbell highlighted the magnitude of the game against Leeds, and made the somewhat bold claim that the people of Leeds will feel as though this game is 'extra special'.

"All week, it’s all people have been talking about.

"No matter where you go, you hear it so I don’t think anyone will need any motivation to get themselves up for the game.

"Everyone’s played in some sort of derby wherever that may be, but it’s extra special for the people of Huddersfield, and the people of Leeds, so they’ll feel that all week and they’ll definitely feel that on Saturday."

Leeds will certainly be favourites for the game against Campbell's side, but they'll be well-aware of the threat posed by the Terriers, who will be keen to build on some impressive showings recently.

The Verdict:

It's certainly a bold claim to make.

I'm not sure I agree though. The Elland Road faithful don't seem to be acknowledging the importance of this game in particular compared to any other of their games this season.

Marcelo Bielsa and his side will be treating this game as they do any other match, and will be fully-focused on coming away with three points to strengthen their grip on an automatic promotion place.

Huddersfield are definitely going to be up against it from the first whistle, and I can't see anything other than a convincing Leeds win at Elland Road on Saturday.
