Birmingham City will be on the lookout for a new manager at the end of the season, after recently announcing that Pep Clotet will be leaving St. Andrew's at the end of the campaign.

The Spaniard arrived at St. Andrew's alongside Garry Monk in March 2018, helping Blues avoid the drop down to Sky Bet League One.

But following Monk's departure at the end of last season, Clotet remained at St. Andrew's and became the club's new head coach, guiding them to 16th place in the Sky Bet Championship table this term.

But the club have now announced that Clotet will be leaving the club at the end of the season, in order for the Spaniard to "explore other coaching opportunities".

For now, Blues will be looking to end the season on a high and finish as high as they can, but the search for a replacement for Clotet will be high up on their priority list too.

Here, we take a look at FOUR managers who would be perfect replacements for Clotet at St. Andrew's.

Hughton is no stranger to the St. Andrew's faithful, having managed Blues in the 2011/12 campaign.

The 61-year-old guided Blues to 4th place in the Championship table, but they were defeated in the play-off semi-finals by Blackpool over two legs.

Having been out of work since the end of last season following his departure from Brighton, he might be eager to get back into work, and his experience could be key for Blues.

Bowyer could prove to be an excellent appointment for Blues.

The current Charlton Athletic boss has enjoyed a fantastic tenure of the London club when you consider all the chaos off the pitch, but relegation down to League One this season could push him over the edge.

He's a fantastic up and coming manager who knows Blues well, having played for them over 90 times during a three-year spell in the West Midlands.

Karanka has been out of work since leaving Nottingham Forest midway through the 2018/19 campaign, with the Reds sitting within touching distance of the play-offs.

The Spaniard has experience of winning promotion to the Premier League with Middlesbrough, and his possession-based football would be pleasing to watch on the eye.

Jokanovic is already in charge of another club - Al Gharafa in Qatar - but he could be open to a return to England.

His former assistant at Fulham, Alberto Escobar, is an assistant coach at St. Andrew's, so that could prove to be a pulling factor for the Serbian, who won promotion to the Premier League with Fulham in 2018.
