Central defender Vegard Forren says he knows of no interest in him from Cardiff City reports Sky Sports.

Centre back Forren has already had a spell in England at Premier League side Southampton where he was signed from Molde, where current Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was manager, for £3.5m. Forren didn’t make a single appearance for the south coast club before returning to Molde.

Forren started his career at Molde. Between 2007 and 2013 he made 146 league appearances for the Norwegian club scoring five goals.

The 26-year-old signed for Southampton in January 2013 but didn’t make a single appearance for the club.

Following his torrid time at Southampton, Forren returned to Molde for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2013.

The Norweigan wanted to fight for his place at Southampton but was ultimately moved on. Since resigning for Molde, Forren has made 33 league appearances scoring twice.

Solskjaer’s interest in the player will more than likely come from the time the two spent together at Molde.

Solskjaer was manager at Molde from 2011 until taking the Cardiff job in January 2014.
