Reading travel to league leaders Wolves in their next game tomorrow night.

The Royals go into this game on the back of two home draws after playing a total of four consecutive home games.

They are currently in 19th place with six points separating them from the drop. This match is a game in hand that they have on some of the teams around them.

The current season has been disappointing so far because they managed to reach the play-off final last season before losing on penalties to Huddersfield Town.

However, they have regressed significantly this season because they have been unable to grind out wins like they did last season.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has missed out significantly because he moved from Wolves in the summer who are currently top. However, this seems to have made him even more determined to make an impact when the two sides play.

He currently has seven goals in 26 appearances with his latest being the opener against Leeds United in the last match.

Here's what he had to say to the official Reading FC site: "I can't wait! It's always what you're excited for, playing against your former team-mates and former club."

"I think it's a fantastic club, but first and foremost I'm looking forward to getting the most out of the game result-wise."

"I'm just excited and we're looking straight onto Tuesday now."

The Verdict

The Icelandic international will be rueing his luck considering the significant transformation at Wolves since he has left. However, scoring in this game is a way to get back at his old team and Reading need points desperately, so this is the ideal opportunity for him.

Realistically Reading are unlikely to take any points from the Molineux even though Wolves are in mixed form, but having that added bit of motivation will help nonetheless.
