Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is a man that has certainly had a varied career so far, with him taking in some of the biggest clubs and leagues the game has to offer.

Currently a Bayern Munich footballer, Choupo-Moting was last at Paris Saint Germain, where he actually faced the Bavarians in the Champions League final earlier this year.

Certainly, his move to the French giants came as a bit of a surprise to many Stoke City fans as, despite him not necessarily being a poor player by any stretch, it came immediately after the Potters were relegated from the Premier League.

Speaking to BBC Africa, then, the Bayern man has reflected on his brief spell in this country with City and said that he enjoyed his time in red and white, even if it obviously ended in a bad way:

"I am very happy I went to Stoke, it was a great year even if we got relegated.

"Of course, it was a sad moment for all of us, it was a difficult season but I was happy to get experience in the Premier League."

The Verdict

Choupo-Moting obviously has quality but, nevertheless, it was a bit of a shock to say the least when news broke he was leaving Championship-bound Stoke for French champions PSG those few years ago.

Since, then, he's won several titles in France and is now looking for further success with Germany's biggest club, as they look to defend the Champions League crown they won back in the summer of this year.
