Former Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has emerged as the favourite for the vacant Nottingham Forest job, according to Sky Bet.
The club parted company with Dougie Freedman earlier this week after the Scot had spent just over a year in charge at the City Ground.
With the club’s owners known for being quick to act when it comes to managers, we could well see an appointment imminent for the two time European Cup winners.
With numerous names being thrown into the hat, it is former Leicester boss Pearson has emerged as the frontrunner for the job.
The 52-year-old has plenty of managerial experience, with time spent at Southampton, Hull, and two spells with Leicester.
He led the Foxes to Premier League safety last season, coming from nowhere during the final run in to finish comfortably clear of safety, and set the club up for the success they have had this season.
It would represent a major coup for Forest if they could convince Pearson to join, and his track record speaks for itself.
Forest fans, what do you think to this? Would you like Pearson? Let us know in the comments!
