Former owner excited about Orient’s future

The Dagenham born Orient fan and former owner of the London club Barry Hearn until earlier this week has said that he is ‘pinching himself’ at the prospect of his beloved Orient competing at the highest level in England under new owner Becchetti.
Although Hearn will no longer be owner of the club he will still have a roll at the League 1 club. Barry Hearn honorary-life president at the club. The new owner is expected to invest heavily into the squad during this transfer window.
Hearn told Sky Sports News “I always said that if someone came into take this great club to a new level, then I would be out. I am so confident and excited about what he can do with the club, so out with the old, in with the new. Everyone reaches their sell-by date.”
Hearn leaves the club after narrowly missing out on promotion to the Championship through the play offs. It seems that new owner Francesco Becchetti does not have to do much to get the London club promoted.
