Former Nottingham Forest manager Alex McLeish is among the candidates for the vacant Derby County job, according to The Sun.
Derby are thought to be considering the former Scotland and Nottingham Forest boss along with David Moyes and Nigel Pearson.
The Rams are already beginning their pursuit of a new manager, after sacking manager Paul Clement after just eight months in charge.
The play-off hopefuls have gone through a torrid run of form of late after failing to win in their last seven games.
McLeish has had a mixed managerial career after unsuccessful spells with Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, which the fans could be put off by.
It is thought that ex-Leicester boss Nigel Pearson is the favourite to take over at the iPro Stadium, after he declared that he is ready to come back into management after being sacked last summer.
Despite Derby’s poor form, they still sit inside the play off places in fifth place, but they will want an immediate appointment if they want to turn their fortunes around.
