Norwich City have been up and down this season and at the moment they are in a trough rather than a peak.

Even so, the Canaries know that they can string together some good results with them flirting with the play-off places at one point in this campaign.

Indeed, they are stout in defensive matters and so if they can just scoring a few more goals they will surely get themselves back up towards the sharp end.

They'll be looking to beat Sheffield Wednesday this weekend, then, but if the form doesn't improve soon they'll surely be worrying about some of their best players leaving in January.

Indeed, Dion Dublin, speaking exclusively to 888Sport, has said that it will be difficult to keep hold of the midfielder James Maddison in the window, with him being the Canaries' best player so far this season.

When asked if it would be difficult to keep him, Dublin said:

"It is really difficult to hold onto players whose name is in the paper every week for doing something positive.

"Clubs are always desperate for players who have an impact on games and if you are effective in a football match you will be wanted by other teams.

"At the moment Mads is absolutely flying and there will be offers."

A bit worrying for Norwich fans, then, but if they can get back to their top six challenging form then there will be a chance that Maddison will stay put.

It is hard to see that clubs won't be interested though as he has been a real star so far this season.
