Leeds United legend Tony Dorigo has praised new signing Lewis Baker for his impact at the club, and is hoping the Chelsea loanee can take his opportunity at Elland Road this season.

Dorigo was speaking to LUTV, and was in a bullish mood about the club's chances next season, as well as praising Baker for an assured performance in Leeds' 1-1 draw with York City.

The Leeds legend, who was a prominent figure for the club at right back during the 1990s, was pleased with what he saw from Baker, citing he 'likes someone who plays in the attacking third' and commenting that Baker 'looked very good indeed' in the friendly.

Baker has joined the Elland Road club on a season long loan move from Chelsea, and after being isolated at Middlesbrough last term, will no doubt be keen to read Dorigo's comments and take them on board going into the season proper.

The young midfielder has already had a host of loan spells away from the Blues and will be finally hoping this season is his big moment under new Leeds gaffer Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds are hoping their manager can finally guide them back to the Premier League after over a decade in the wilderness, and Baker will no doubt be key to any success the club is going to enjoy.

Whites fans, what have you made of Baker so far? Do you agree with Dorigo? Let us know!
