Leeds United have had quite the summer so far, with movement both in and out of the club.

The likes of Pontus Jansson have departed, while big name signings such as Jack Harrison and Helder Costa have arrived through the doors at Elland Road to improve the squad.

The exits though haven't just stopped with the likes of Jansson, as a number of young players have moved away from Elland Road in the hope of finding first-team football easier to come by and build their careers away from the West Yorkshire club.

One such player who has opted to move away is young defender Aapo Halme, who has made the switch to fellow Yorkshire club Barnsley, signing a permanent deal with the Reds.

And Halme seems delighted to have made the switch to Oakwell, taking to social media today to formerly introduce himself to the Barnsley fans and express his delight at making the move to Daniel Stendel's men.

Halme got himself a few chances under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds but he seems genuinely happy to have made the move away from the club and sign for a team who are renowned for giving young players a chance in the first-team.

The young defender will be looking to step into the void left by both Ethan Pinnock and Liam Lindsay at Oakwell, with both players opting to move on to pastures new this summer rather than stay and help the South Yorkshire side establish themselves in the Championship.
