Former Leeds United and Middlesbrough manager Gary Monk has spoken of his desire to get back into football soon, reports the Daily Mail, via a report in SportsKeeda.

The ex-Swansea defender and coach lost his job with the Boro this season just months after taking the hotseat at the Riverside, and has made his feelings clear in that he is keen to return to the dugout, following one or two rumours this week that he could be in line for one or two jobs in both the top flight and the Championship.

Monk said he is 'waiting for the right opportunity' after 'reviewing the process' which saw him lose his job in the northeast following succumbing to a similar fate at Elland Road just a few months previous.

However, it remains to be seen where Monk will end up, despite the report claiming the likes of West Brom and Birmingham could both be interested in snapping him up.

Leeds and Boro fans will no doubt be keen to see where Monk ends up, with both sets of fans not exactly being overly endeared to their former manager.

Leeds and Boro fans, what do we think? Can Monk succeed somewhere? Let us know in the comments!
