Former Leeds united full-back Lee Peltier is close to signing a contract with fellow Championship side Huddersfield Town, according to Sky Sports.
The 27-year old defender has been linked with a switch to The Terriers for some time now and he is moving closer to sealing a switch to the side following the mutual termination of his contract at Leeds United.
Peltier’s release has sparked interest from many Championship clubs. However, it is being reported that a deal is all but done to bring him to the John Smith’s Stadium.
The former Liverpool defender has previously enjoyed a two-year stay with Huddersfield from 2009 up until 2011 during which he featured 102 times before sealing a move to Leicester City.
He then moved to Leeds the following season and fell out of favour with the club. In March he was loaned out to Nottingham Forest and impressed his critics and it is thought to be his performances with the Midlands side that has renewed his former club’s interest in him.
