England’s Euro 2020 journey ended in heartbreak last weekend but Gareth Southgate and every single fan across the globe will be proud of the efforts of every single player in the Three Lions squad.

What was quite unique about a large chunk of the players in Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad was their individual journeys from non-league or the Football League to major international tournament.

Almost every player has had to prove themselves at a lower level before making it at the very top, but one of the biggest names to have been on that journey this summer was Harry Kane, having enjoyed Football League loan spells at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City before becoming one of the world’s best strikers at Tottenham.

And former international players, Joe Cole and James Collins, had nothing but praise for Kane’s performances this summer, despite his slow start in the first couple of game.

Speaking on Just Eat’s Home Advantage, Collins said: “I thought in the first two, three games he looked way off the pace. He’s a tremendous finisher but just watching the games, he just seemed a couple of yards off it.

“But to go and do what he did last Saturday [against Ukraine] and get the brace was incredible.”

Joe Cole went on to say: “Obviously, with Harry Kane getting on the scoresheet, he could have easily walked away with the Golden Boot.”

Throughout the tournament, Just Eat’s Home Advantage  brought the best of food and football together, with Munya Chawawa ordering a takeaway with some of the UK’s favourites footballers each week throughout the tournament.

Footballing legends including the likes of Ally McCoist, Joe Cole, James Collins, David James, Casey Stoney, and Alan Hutton sat down with the Instagram sensation and shared their thoughts on everything from the teams, players and managers, to the best food to eat while watching the action.

The last episode saw the return of Scotland legend Ally McCoist, as well as ex England and Wales internationals, Joe Cole and James Collins. Check out the video below to see them catch up on the state of play, as well as some rather dubious initial predictions.
