Former Huddersfield and Birmingham striker set for move to Scottish giants

It has emerged from an exclusive report by The Sun that former Huddersfield Town and Birmingham City striker James Vaughan could be on the verge of a move to Scottish giants, Rangers.

After spending the second half of the season at Birmingham City, the 27-year-old is currently unattached after his contract at Huddersfield Town came to an end and Birmingham opted against offering the former Evertonian a contract.

Vaughan, whose career has been abruptly disrupted by chronic injury problems has been offered a lifeline, north of the border with a move to Scotland.

It has been reported that Mark Warburton is keen on bringing the 27-year-old to Rangers as he looks to bolster his attacking options in preparation to challenge Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic for the Scottish title.

It would be a calculated risk for Mark Warburton given Vaughan’s injury but as a low-cost option, when fit, he can be an effective attacking option.

Huddersfield and Birmingham fans, what do you make of the news? What did you think of Vaughan when he played for your side? How do you think he’ll potentially fare in Scotland? Will his injuries continue to hamper him? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
