Former Nottingham Forest star Armand Traore has said that he felt hurt by the manner of his exit from the club in the January window.

The men from the City Ground certainly had a hectic end to January after Aitor Karanka came in and started shaking things up with a number of players leaving and others coming in.

One man who left, then, was Armand Traore and it appears as though he felt a bit hurt by the way he left under Karanka, before quickly feeling better as Neil Warnock and Cardiff City came in for him.

As quoted by Wales Online, the left-back revealed:

"At first I was a bit hurt because I wanted to play but I quickly got over it and when my agent told me he’d spoken to Neil Warnock I was very excited again. I was buzzing."

Not a great look for Karanka, then, but the Spanish manager has got a ruthless streak and so we shouldn't be so surprised by this news.

The Verdict

Traore evidently didn't particularly want to leave the club during the window but that has happened now and he's moved on quickly.

Whether or not he earns promotion with Cardiff remains to be seen but at least that'll mark a change for the better if he does.
