West Ham United striker Carlton Cole has hinted that he could make a move to Championship club Brentford, according to Sports Mole.
Cole, 31, has been ousted from the starting line-up in Sam Allardyce’s team this season, with Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho stealing the limelight at the London outfit.
Speaking to the Sky Sports programme Goals On Sunday, Cole didn’t rule out a move to Griffin Park: “They’re going well at the moment. I’m happy for them and they hold a little soft spot in my heart, so you never know,” Cole said.
The Croydon-born forward’s contract expires this summer and it is not looking likely that he will remain at Upton Park for next season.
Mark Warburton’s Brentford currently sit in sixth place in the Sky Bet Championship, having accumulated 62 points from 36 league games.
Whether the Bees will be in the Premier League or Championship next season is uncertain as of yet, but the addition of Carlton Cole could be beneficial to the side for next season if they decide to move for the forward.
