The Wanderers fan-favourite recently told his former club that he has been impressed by the positive changes in which the Irishman has made during his short spell with the Trotters, by saying he has been 'superb'.

“Neil has been superb since he came in, he’s lifted them out of the relegation zone and four wins from six games is a great start", Davies said to the Bolton club website.
“The transformation from the game against Wigan to the last one I came to see, which I think was against Derby, was huge.
“Wigan played well in the first half but Bolton got the goals and the confidence went from there. I can see them only going one way now and that’s upwards.”
The Preston North End forward then went on to say that Lennon's passion and spirit for the great game has helped him change the attitude of the players and it is only the start of a new era at the club.
“He’s come in and lifted the place, which is exactly what the club needed. Being around the club more in recent weeks, there is a lot more optimism around the place.
“There is still a lot of work for them to do, but Neil has been a great appointment so far and hopefully he can build on that.”
Bolton face a trip to local rivals Blackpool at the weekend, as the players hope to carry on a positive run of results in front of the travelling Wanderers fans, who have sold out their 2,200 allocation for the clash.
