‘Form goes out the window in derby matches’ – Ipswich vs Norwich: The verdict

Published

on

It’s the first East Anglian derby of the season as Ipswich Town host Norwich City at Portman Road on Sunday lunchtime.

But who will come away with the bragging rights?

We discuss…..

George Dagless

It’s a big game anyway but both really need the win.

Ipswich need to get going and Norwich need to bounce back from last weekend.

I think the Canaries could well take this one 3-1.

Alfie Burns

Ipswich are desperate for a win and there is no better time for them to do it.

Norwich haven’t been convincing at all this season, so Ipswich will be looking to take full advantage and get off the bottom of the table.

2-1

Jay Taylor

Form goes out the window in derby matches.

Norwich have had an indifferent start while Ipswich are yet to win.

Neither side will want to lose this fixture as bragging rights are up for grabs once again.

This could be the perfect game for Paul Hurst and his side to get their first win of the season.

And I think they will.

Ipswich to romp home, 3-1 at Portman Road.

Gary Hutchinson

0-0

Big derby, lots of pressure and a packed Portman Road can only spell one thing; a tight, dour game.

Neither side will want to lose this and I suspect a fear of losing will prevent either side from winning.

I can’t see goals in the Ipswich side, so the emphasis will be on them keeping Norwich quiet.
