Stoke City will be looking to continue their recent resurgence in the Championship tonight when they head to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday.

The Potters, who are currently 23rd in the second-tier standings, could move out of the relegation zone depending on the outcome of results elsewhere.

Stoke's most recent clash with Wednesday ended in disappointment for Nathan Jones' side as they were unable to break down their Championship opponents in March.

Although the Owls had entered the game as slight favourites due to the fact that they were on a 10 game unbeaten run in all competitions, it was the Potters who dominated proceedings at the bet365 Stadium.

After Tom Edwards went close to opening the scoring in the first-half, Bojan and Benik Afobe were both denied by goalkeeper Keiren Westwood during the second period.

With the game drifting towards a stalemate, Danny Batth squandered a huge opportunity to seal all three points for Stoke as he headed wide.

Following the 0-0 draw, these Stoke fans reacted to their side's performance on Twitter.

Here were some of the best responses from the club's supporters.

Whilst Wednesday have made a relatively impressive start to the 2019/20 campaign, the same cannot be said about Stoke who have only recently started to show glimmers of what they are capable of producing in the Championship.

Given that they have won their previous two clashes in the second-tier against Swansea City and Fulham, the Potters will fancy their chances against an Owls side who are still adjusting to life under new manager Garry Monk.

Providing that Stoke can seal all three points on their travels tonight, they could use the momentum gained from this particular result to push on in the Championship over the coming months.
