Nottingham Forest have been linked with the signature of Connor Mahoney for a number of weeks now, following his release from Blackburn Rovers.

The 20-year-old made 18 appearances for Rovers last season as they were relegated from the Championship, and has consequently rejected a new deal at Ewood Park, with many high profile clubs vying for his signature.

The winger was strongly linked with a move to Forest, while new Middlesbrough manager Garry Monk is also reportedly a fan of the exciting prospect, but AFC Bournemouth are now in pole position to sign him.

A winger is definitely a priority for Mark Warburton's men next term; a position that hasn't really been fulfilled since Oliver Burke's departure from the club last summer to RB Leipzig.

One player who the former Rangers and Brentford boss should definitely look to approach however, is Lloyd Isgrove, following his release from Southampton a few weeks back.

The 24-year old saw his contract run out with the Saints last week, ending his 15-year stint at St Mary's after joining the club at the age of nine, and the tricky winger will definitely be looking for another high-profile club to play for.

The Welshman made a total of just eight first team appearances for the South Coast club, despite enduring a number of successful loan spells in England, more notably his spell at Barnsley back in 2016, helping the Tykes to League One promotion.

Isgrove is mainly a left-sided winger, but is capable of playing on both sides of the pitch, adding crucial squad depth to a position that needs addressing at the City Ground.

The playmaker definitely deserves his chance as a regular first-team player, having impressed in the Saints' development squad, and Forest should definitely look to land his signature...
