Leeds United are on the lookout for a new head-coach ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, as they look to once again challenge for a Premier League return.

Paul Heckingbottom was sacked earlier this month, with Leeds quickly opening talks with Marcelo Bielsa over the managerial vacancy at Elland Road.

Bielsa has a wealth of experience in football, having managed both Argentina and Chile, as well as a host of clubs across Europe, including Athletic Bilbao, Marseille and Lille.

Talks are ongoing between Leeds and the 62-year-old, with the Whites still hopeful that Bielsa will take over at Elland Road ahead of the new season.

However, Bielsa’s potential arrival isn’t convincing everyone at Elland Road, with some believing Leeds should be targeting other names to take over next season.

With that in mind, we take a look at THREE other managers Leeds should be considering over Bielsa, as they look to make a third appointment in just 12 months…

It has emerged that Leeds have approached Bruce, who has a wealth of experience in the Championship.

The 57-year-old is the total opposite of Bielsa, but brings experience, which many want to see.

Depending on the direction Andrea Radrizzani wants to take Leeds, Bruce could be a better option.

The 53-year-old has previous experience of managing in England, where he had a successful spell with Swansea City.

Laudrup’s style there was impressive, and although his time in Wales came to an abrupt end, he was still a success.

Should he arrive at Leeds, supporters would be encouraged.

Again, if Leeds decide they want to ditch plans for Bielsa and go for Championship experience, Smith would be a great choice.

Smith has done a terrific job at Brentford on a small budget and could be the man to take Leeds to the next level.

It’d take a good offer to lure him away from Griffin Park, but Leeds are still a big pull in the Championship.
