Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to extend their fine home record with a victory over Leeds United on Friday night.

The Owls have been in impressive form of late, after losing just one of their previous six league outings and failing to lose a home game thus far this season, as they prepare to host a Leeds United side still hurting from their first league defeat of the season last weekend.

It's always a feisty encounter whenever the two sides meet at Hillsborough, and after an impressive 2-1 win away at Aston Villa last weekend, Jos Luhukay's men will be fancying their chances in front of a bumper crowd.

The Owls have been dealt a boost ahead of Friday's encounter with Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds, with the news that Fernando Forestieri is available for selection off  the back of three-match ban, however should the forward be thrown straight back into the starting XI?

Here, we take a look at the Sheffield Wednesday XI that will beat Leeds United tonight...

With Keiren Westwood seemingly out of the equation at Hillsborough, Dawson has been impressive upon his call up to the first team.

Lees will be looking to put in yet another solid performance, against his former employers on Friday.

Hector has been an impressive figure for Wednesday this term following his arrival on loan from Chelsea, and is expected to keep his place in the team against Leeds.

The Owls have been dealt a massive injury boost recently, with the news that Jordan Thorniley will be available for Friday night's clash after missing out on their trip to Villa Park last weekend.

The 21-year old has been a solid figure for Wednesday this season, and has played in every game except against Villa last weekend, and is expected to come straight back into the place to replace Daniel Pudil.

Academy graduate Baker has come up leaps and bounds for Luhukay recently, and is expected to keep his place at right-back following a string of impressive performances this term.

Friday night's encounter could be either won or lost in midfield, and Wednesday currently have perhaps the best midfield duo in the division in Pelupessy and Bannan.

Pelupessy, Wednesday's anchorman, has been a star performer this season, and the Owls have won 9 of their last 18 Championship games when the duo have played together.

Pelupessy’s role to sit back and protect the defence allows Bannan to push forward and supply the flair players with the ball.

Bannan has been instrumental for Wednesday this term, and whilst two goals and one assist from nine games isn’t exactly amazing, the Scotland international has still been having a major influence on the team because of his technical ability.

After a disappointing loan spell at Mansfield Town last term, Penney has returned to Hillsborough and made that left-back position his own, and is expected to retain that spot on Friday.

Reach put in a magnificent display against Villa and assisted Marco Matias for his goal, and has the ability to unlock Leeds' defence.

Despite Forestieri being available, Wednesday should definitely look to stick with Fletcher up top.

He may have missed a lot of chances against Villa, but he was there when it counted and won the game for the Owls last Saturday, and will be looking to add to his tally of two for the season on Friday.

Completing the team is Marco Matias, who has been magnificent for Wednesday of late, and capped off a string of impressive performance with a goal against Villa.
