Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton has informed his players to 'get the job done' as he refuses to focus on other teams in the fight for Championship survival.

In an interview for the Nottingham Post, Warburton made it clear that is is down to his team to do the business, and they cannot be reliant of focused on the results of their rivals at the bottom of the table.

Warburton said: "We cannot control the other games and that message is really important. It is up to us to get the job done. We have to go out and get it, because it will not come to us.

"There is no lack of focus, there is no lack of intent on our part. We know what we have to do. All the focus is now on QPR. We will look at how we train, at how we refuel and prepare. That is vital.

Warburton was speaking after his side secured a crucial 3-2 victory over promotion chasing Reading at the City Ground yesterday, a win which should just about see them safe come the end of the season.

The former Brentford manager is new to the role at Forest following his bizarre departure from Scottish giants Rangers, and will be hoping to guide the club to safety and compete better in the Championship next season.
