‘For this alone he gets my vote’ – Many Derby fans excited as Erik Alonso’s transfer strategy emerges

Prospective Derby County owner Erik Alonso will reportedly look to improve the club’s foreign scouting network and attract more international talent, which appears to have excited many Rams fans.
It was announced earlier this week that No Limits Sports Limited, headed by Alonso, had agreed a deal to buy the East Midlands club from current owner Mel Morris.
The takeover remains subject to EFL regulations but it is thought it will be completed soon.
According to a report from Sky Sports, Alonso’s key motivation is to help the Rams secure promotion to the Premier League.
A major part of the strategy to achieve that, it is understood, will be to improve the club’s foreign scouting network and attract more international talent.
It is believed that Wayne Rooney’s future is secure as the Spaniard was attracted to the prospect of working alongside someone of his stature, who could prove a pull to potential signings.
Rooney was limited in his first transfer window as Derby boss as the club were under an embargo for much of the January window but it seems Alonso is planning to back him in that area moving forward.
Are these 17 facts about Derby County’s club badge true or false?
Alonso’s transfer strategy has caught the attention of Rams supporters, with many taking to Twitter to share their thoughts.

For this alone he gets my vote. I am not convinced we have had an overseas network and the right players, alongside lower division talent and the best of the academy, is the way forward. https://t.co/AuNcj2GGDp

This is great, but let's focus on staying in the championship before we think about Premier league. https://t.co/ofUQ45V5KT

Sounds much more like it on the recruitment side of things, far better than paying 4/5 million on average Championship players! No wonder we’re currently in a mess.

Music to my ears!! The best Derby era in my lifetime was the likes of Baiano, Eranio, Stimac, Wanchope, Poom etc.
