Leeds United ran out 3-1 winners over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday at Loftus Road, with attacker Kemar Roofe the star of the show.

The former Oxford United player was utilised in the number nine role by manager Thomas Christiansen, and he shone for the Whites in what turned out to be a comfortable win for the Whites.

Does Roofe now deserve to retain his place up-front in the side?

Certainly for the next game anyway.

I still have doubts over his suitability for the role long-term, but how can you not play him there after a hat-trick?

His confidence will be high and Thomas Christiansen will be hoping for a repeat performance this weekend.

Alfie Burns

Roofe has probably been Leeds’ most consistent number 9 over the course of the season, with the striker’s record exceptional when he is selected as the focal point of the attack.

However, January should see Leeds strengthen, with a new striker an absolute must.

For now, it is his shirt to lose.

George Dagless

I think so.

Leeds have a bit of problem up top at the moment with Ekuban facing an injury lay-off and Lasogga not really hitting the heights as yet.

Roofe is at least scoring and, though he's gone off of the boil at times, I think he deserves to stay put.

Adam Simeoni

What more can Roofe do to convince Christiansen that he is the right man to lead the line at Elland Road?

A phenomenal hat-trick at QPR on Saturday ensured Leeds continued their return to form, and the Dane would be mad not to utilise Roofe in the role in their next fixture.
