West Bromwich Albion have enjoyed a positive start to the season under new boss Darren Moore, and sit in ninth place in the Championship with 10 points from six played.

Striker Dwight Gayle on loan from Newcastle United has proved an instant hit at the Hawthorns, scoring three times already this season.

Is it fair to say Gayle is the best striker in the league?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

He's right up there.

There might be question marks over him in the Premier League but in the Champioinship there are few better.

He's so sharp in the box, he'll be close to the Golden Boot without any doubt.

Gary Hutchinson

He’s certainly in the top three or four.

The best striker in the league is the one who has the most goals at the end of the season though, it is that simple for me.

In terms of attributes, Gayle is right up there. He’s agile and quick, but he is deadly clinical when given half a chance.

He baffles me because he should be a success in the Premier League.

Jay Taylor

He is certainly one of them.

Dwight Gayle knows the Championship like the back of his hand and hows exactly what it takes to operate at this level.

Whatever side you put him in, in this division, he would score goals - that is a fact.

His pace and movement and awareness of play is commendable and the striker scores all types of goals

Gayle is certainly an asset to West Brom already and he has another of one the better forwards in the league next to him in Jay Rodriquez to complete the potent pairing.

Louie Chandler

For me he is.

He is great with his feet, sharp in the head and most importantly he is consistent.

Many strikers go through patches of great form but Gayle will be at a good level all season as he was with Newcastle.
