Shrewsbury Town fan Ian Jones gives his thoughts on how his side are going to fair in the Sky Bet League Two this season.

What are your expectations for this season?

I am hoping the Shrews will get promoted as we have a very strong side that could be champions by the end of the season. If finishing top of the league is beyond us then I think we can finish at least in the top three with our new look squad.

The return of Collins is positive for Shrewsbury

What do you think of your summer business so far?

I think our new manager Micky Mellon has done a great job in signing 16 new players with the return of James Collins. Signings like Scott Vernon, Liam Lawrence and Andy Robinson add plenty of experience to the squad and I think we have done very well with our summer transfer business.

Who will be your star player this year?

It's hard to say with 16 new players but I think James Collins will be our star player, he played 66 league games, scoring 22 goals last time he played for us and was top goal scorer in our 2011/12 promotion season and I feel he will be scoring loads of goals for us again this season.

Who will be your breakout star this year?

It's got be goalkeeper Callum Burton because he played for England at Under 16, U17 and U18 level. He is impressive with his physique, calmness and leadership and like Joe Hart, Burton is a product of the Shrewsbury Town academy and in pre-season has impressed me a lot.

What game are you looking forward to the most?

I think it has to Bury for me because both clubs have signed a number of great players this summer and both clubs have great odds in getting promoted and I think us and Bury will the teams to beat in League Two this season.
