Albion fan Charlie Dear gives his thoughts on how his side are going to fair in the Sky Bet Championship this season.

What are your expectations for this season?

Well like last season we come in with a new man in charge, so I’d hasten to say play-offs, especially after losing our main man up front Leonardo Ulloa recently. But after making the top six in the last two seasons it has been incredible. Every club wants to see progress so a play-off final would be a step in the right direction after falling short last season. Having said that I think a top ten finish is more realistic and then we can mount a challenge in 2015-16.

What do you think of your summer business so far?

Well although I’m gutted to lose someone of Ulloa’s calibre scoring 23 goals in only 50 appearances, to get £8 million for someone only proven in the Championship shows how desperate clubs are to sign a goal scorer. I should hope after releasing six players including Tomasz Kuszczak that we get a proven, solid goalkeeper in as part of the spine of the team. I think Aaron Hughes will be a good addition to provide the steadiness and cool head at the back, much like Matt Upson last season. I just hope Sami Hyppia can bring in a little bit more quality in the forward areas now he has a bit more money to spend.

Lua Lua should be a target for Wolves

Who will be your star player this year?

Well I like how Hyppia has experimented with Kazenga Lua Lua in the number ten role as to speak during pre-season. He has so much raw talent but he just needs to learn to harness his ability and improve his number of goals and assists. I hope he can be our star man this year and guide us to another top six or even better finish.

Who will be your breakout star this year?

He has already made somewhat of a breakthrough but Jake Forster-Caskey will be one to look out for again next season, just signing a new deal will please the club and the fans. He is only 20 and it is positive that he feels he can continue his education at the Amex. Solly March is also worth a mention here having already picked up 27 appearances for the club.

What game are you looking forward to the most?

I am looking forward to the big games, hosting anyone down at the Amex is a good occasion but after getting mauled by Derby last season I hope we can extract some revenge.
