After a blistering start to the Championship season, Queens Park Rangers' campaign has taken a turn for the worse over the last couple of months.

Under Mark Warburton, the R's flew out of the traps, rising into the play-offs and impressing many with their high-intensity and attacking style of football.

However, last Friday's 2-1 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage meant they have now gone six Championship games without a win, plunging them down to 12th and five points off the top-six.

Granted, it is a position that nearly every fan will have taken had you offered it to them at the start of the season. Having struggled during the previous campaign and with a large turn over of players in the summer, a slow start was expected.

But memories can be short in football and for QPR fans they will be desperate to see their side bounce back to winning ways. And if they can do it on Wednesday night at home to Nottingham Forest, all the better.

The Reds are chasing promotion after years of bitter disappointment in the second-tier and are currently sat in fifth place, just five behind the automatic promotion spots, so will be keen for three points themselves.

And bad news for QPR fans emerged from the Forest camp on Tuesday when Sabri Lamouchi revealed that three first-team players would be back in the matchday squad for the trip to The Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium tonight.

Speaking to the club's official website, the Forest boss confirmed that Alfa Semedo, Carl Jenkinson and Yohan Benalouane would all be travelling with the team on Wednesday.

Whilst it still remains a winnable match for QPR, it has undoubtedly made their task a lot harder. Semedo and Benalouane in particular have become key figures in midfield and defence respectively, so having them back will undoubtedly lift the visitors.

The home fans may therefore need to temper their expectations. With this fresh boost for the visitors and their impressive form this season, perhaps being happy with a point would be the sane objective to set.
