The change in set-up also leaves captain Rob Jones in charge of the development squad as well as playing for the team.

An official statement was put up on the club website, which read: “Following a restructure after relegation from the Championship, Doncaster Rovers can confirm that Brian Flynn has left the club.

“The club wish to thank Brian for all of his help during the past two years and wish him well for the future.”
