Sheffield Wednesday take on QPR this weekend as they look to sign off with a win before the international break.

We caught up with Louis Shackshaft of the Championship Pod to preview the clash and look back at the week at Hillsborough...

1. Morgan Fox's future has been clarified this week, it must be the right call to keep him in the squad for now?

Definitely. Morgan Fox will never be the best player in the Wednesday squad but he hasn’t put a foot wrong so far this term, 100% commitment to the cause is all that we can ask for and Fox offers just that. I can certainly think of a couple of other players that haven’t put good performances like Fox of late. As long as Morgan Fox is at the club and is wearing the blue and white striped Wednesday shirt, I’ll support him to the end. Technically, he’s the only left-footed left-back we have at the club so he has a great opportunity to stamp his ground on this position and continue to prove his doubters wrong. He’s performed very well in his last two outings also.

2. Lee Bullen remains in charge, do you think we'll see an announcement either way after this weekend with the international break up next?

Good question, I wish I knew the answer. The international break would be perfect timing to give Bullen and the fans the clarification we need on the managerial future, even if it’s only in the short-term. Then again, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bullen remain in charge for another five games as caretaker boss, I suppose you could say he’s on a ‘probation period’. His destiny is in his own hands.

3. A win over Rotherham in the cup earlier this week, do any from that side stay put for the league game this weekend?

I wouldn’t expect so. The only likely players that could remain in the starting eleven on Saturday are Murphy and Fox, but, Palmer and Reach could return to the side just as easy. I’d love to see Luongo start this weekend, but as long as Lee is fit, he may have to make an appearance from the bench.

4. QPR up next, does their unpredictable nature make them a threat?

It certainly does, you never know what you’re going to get with QPR. They aren’t the best team in the league but are capable of beating anybody on their day. I’m really impressed with Eberechi Eze again so far this season, he offers so much going forward, can skip past defenders and has an eye for goal. If we can keep him quiet, I’m sure we’ll be fine.

5. Score prediction

I really want to say that Wednesday will win this 2-1, but my gut is telling me this could be a score draw. With the international break just around the corner, I’m sure both sides may be afraid to lose this tie, especially after we suffered a defeat last Saturday to Preston. Regrettably, I’m going to predict a 1-1 draw.
