FLW Spotlight: 96 games, 45.8 win percentage – Stuart McCall’s Bradford reign by numbers

Stuart McCall’s second spell in charge of Bradford City came to an end on Monday when he was sacked after a run of six straight defeats.

Saturday’s defeat to Oldham Athletic was the final straw for Bantams legend McCall despite the fact the club found themselves still in the play-off places at the time of his departure.

Despite the poor run of form, McCall still enjoyed a lot of good will from the Bradford fans at the time of his sacking and we have taken a look at the story of his second Valley Parade tenure in numbers to find out why.

Bradford lost six games in a row prior to McCall’s sacking but only lost 23 of the previous 90 games, which shows that it was the first real slump of his reign.

1.61 points per game is a figure that would have had to have been bumped up slightly to be solid play-off contenders but there are clearly plenty of Bradford fans who thought McCall could have turned it around and you can see why.
