Leicester City right-back James Justin has sent a message to Luton Town fans after scoring against his former side on Tuesday night.

He netted the Foxes second in the 4-0 drubbing of the Hatters in the third round of the Carabao Cup at Kenilworth Road with the home fans rising to applaud their former star in the aftermath.

"It's the debut I've always wanted and I just want to thank them," Justin said in his post-match press conference with regards to the home fans.

"I will come back and show my support when I can."

He also offered his support to the Hatters, saying that: "There will be bumps in the road but if they stick at it, I am sure they will come out on top this season."

Justin made the move to the King Power Stadium for £7million during the summer transfer window after playing an integral role in the Hatters' promotion to the Championship.

He also had a hand in the Foxes' fourth, feeding Kelechi Iheanacho through on goal before he crossed for Youri Tielemans to net past James Shea.

The verdict

It shows the huge bond that has been formed between the club and Justin.

The fans clearly still love him and he clearly still loves the club and that showed in his post-match applause for all corners of the ground.

Brendan Rodgers now has a very tricky decision to make on the right-hand side of his defence.
