Six more matches to go in the Sky Bet League One division and nothing is close to being decided just yet.

Teams at the bottom are racking up wins, teams at the top are slipping up, and predictions are getting harder by the week. Let's take a look at this week's fixtures.

Barnsley - Chesterfield

After last Sunday's triumph in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Wembley against Oxford United, spirits are high at Oakwell. Top goalscorer Sam Winnall has trained all week after a precautionary substitution in the last match. Chesterfield's streakiness could hit form at the right time after last week's 4-2 win against Port Vale, but Barnsley's promotion push could prove too strong for the Spireites.

Prediction: Home win

Blackpool - Colchester United

Two teams down the bottom that are currently finding some sort of form, with only one defeat in the last five for each. The difference may be that the Tangerines have no injury concerns while Colchester are sweating on the fitness of Owen Garvan and Joe Edwards. Still, it's a tricky one to predict.

Prediction: Home win

Bradford City - Swindon Town

Bradford and Swindon could not be in a more different patch of form. Bradford have kept three clean sheets in a row and look a safe bet for the playoffs, while Swindon are in free fall without a win in six and have conceded 15 goals in that run. Furthermore, they will be without left-back Brandon Ormonde-Ottewil, midfielder Drissa Traoré and striker Jeremy Balmy after being suspended internally by the club.

Prediction: Home win

Bury - Doncaster Rovers

Both are enduring a rough patch at the moment and have struggled to find wins, especially Doncaster who have not won since early January. While a defeat would most certainly condemn them to League Two football next year, they were unlucky not to get all three points last weekend at Rochdale after a 96th-minute equaliser, and a turning point has to come now or it will be all but over.

Prediction: Away win

Millwall - Shrewsbury Town

Millwall have won their last three matches at home and not conceded in their last five, and will be boosted by the return of Jimmy Abdou from injury. The Shrews, however, have plenty of concerns. Both of their starting centre-backs, Nat Knight-Percival and Zak Whitbread, are suspended and left-back Junior Brown is out for the season after picking up ligament damage last week. Such defensive frailties could be just what Millwall need to record another home victory.

Prediction: Home win

Oldham Athletic - Walsall

Despite being at opposite ends of the table, this is a pretty even matchup. Oldham will be looking to record their third win and clean sheet in a row to get out of the relegation zone while Walsall need to win to have any chance of automatic promotion. Both teams have games in hand over their rivals but with Oldham having played in midweek, tiredness might be a factor.

Prediction: Draw

Peterborough United - Rochdale

Peterborough recently enjoyed a good mini-revival spell with three wins on the trot after an awful record in 2016 but it came to an end in midweek after defeat at Fleetwood. Still, they won't be dragged into a relegation fight, as neither will be Rochdale, whose playoff push is highly unlikely after two negative results against Wigan and Doncaster Rovers. Stalemate on the cards.

Prediction: Draw

Port Vale - Crewe Alexandra

Defeat for Crewe would in all likelihood confirm their relegation back to League Two. After five losses on the bounce for the Alex, Port Vale could look to capitalise on their form and rebound from last week's disappointing defeat at Chesterfield. Port Vale's defence could see some changes after being described as "comical" by manager Rob Page.

Prediction: Home win

Scunthorpe United - Burton Albion

Despite their recent 6-0 trouncing of Swindon, Scunthorpe's inconsistency is mirrored in their mid-table position. With little to play for until the end of the season, it's quite the opposite situation to their rivals' this weekend. Burton have slipped up in their last three games with two draws, one defeat and only one goal scored. With Wigan having leapfrogged them to top of the table, the Brewers are now looking over their shoulder and fearing for what a few weeks ago was certain promotion. Jim O'Brien is out for the season for Scunthorpe with injury while Hamza Choudhury serves a one-match suspension for the visitors.

Prediction: Draw

Sheffield United - Gillingham

Without major injury concerns for either side, Sheffield United will be looking to chase an unlikely playoff spot while Gillingham are looking to consolidate their playoff position and perhaps even sniff at second place for any potential debacle. Gillingham's away form has been the reason they are not in the top two, winless since Boxing Day at Swindon. The Blades have a similar problem away from home, but have won their last three at home.

Prediction: Home win

Southend United - Fleetwood Town

Last chance saloon for the Shrimpers if they want to make a push for the playoffs, while their fellow fish-nicknamed rivals will look to capitalise their huge midweek win to pull away from the bottom and are coming into the match full of confidence. Michael Tomlin, Noel Hunt and David Mooney are all out for Southend while Shola Ameobi is a doubt for the visitors. While neither team is in particular good form, confidence might swing the final result.

Prediction: Away win

Wigan Athletic - Coventry City

Coming off an impressive 5-1 win at Shrewsbury which saw them go top of the table, Wigan will be confident of another victory against Coventry, which would extend their current 19-match unbeaten league run. The Sky Blues have only won two of their last fifteen matches and are probably looking at another defeat here. Craig Morgan will undergo a late fitness test for the Latics while James Maddison could return from injury for the visitors.

Prediction: Home win
