Sheffield United travel to the Stadium of Light on Saturday as they take on Sunderland in game-week six of the Sky Bet Championship.

It's hard to judge how teams are going to do this season with the Championship only five games in, but it's fair to say the Blades have enjoyed a much better start than the Mackems so far.

Chris Wilder's Sheffield United have impressed in these early stages of the new campaign and sit nicely in the coveted top six spots, occupying fifth spot, having amassed nine points from five games.

Impressive home victories against Brentford and Derby County will undoubtedly be the highlights of Sheffield United's season so far, though Wilder will be looking to sort the club's away form as soon as possible, with the Blades losing in both their away matches this season.

Simon Grayson's Sunderland are languishing in 19th position in the Championship table after an incredibly mediocre start to the season, having only picked up one victory, a 3-1 win over Norwich at Carrow Road.

Billy Sharp is the focal point of Sheffield United's attack and will be pivotal on Saturday if the Blades are to get anything out of the game, though Wilder could call on new signing Clayton Donaldson for some extra firepower in the final third.

Meanwhile, Sunderland will need their wing wizard Aiden McGeady to be firing on all cylinders on the weekend, his attacking dynamism and ability on the ball makes him a key catalyst for the majority of Sunderland's attacking plays into the opposition half.

Though looking at the stats, this game has all the makings of a low scoring affair, with both sides having only scored five goals so far this season.

And, with Sunderland's home form simply woeful, and Sheffield United's away form no better, a draw seems the likeliest result in this one.

Score prediction - Sunderland 1-1 Sheffield United
