The Championship is back this weekend after the international break and there’s a cracking looking game on Sky on Saturday night to take in.
Often, games on TV can get over-hyped but there should be no fear of that this weekend as two famous names of the game go head-to-head – Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest.
Both are still yearning for a return to the Premier League and it’s actually Forest who have started the better, despite the Owls’ recent play-off runs in past seasons, so they’ll be confident of notching up an away win.
Certainly, the Reds have the fire power to put away a fair few teams in the division but in Wednesday they’ll be coming up against a side that hasn’t conceded that many, it’s just scoring themselves that is the problem.
And, with Forest always good for conceding at the moment, it’s hard to see anything but a draw coming out of this game.
The Owls are draw specialists right now and are still looking for that spark up front and Forest could just leave themselves open as they try to take the game to their opponents.
It’s certainly going to be a finely poised affair but I cannot see Sheffield Wednesday having enough fire power to outscore Forest to get a much needed win, even though they should be able to keep things tight at the back.
It’ll be hard-fought, and the spoils will be shared come full time.
Score Prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Nottingham Forest
