FLW Predicts: Can Leeds maintain their unbeaten start against Burton? Alfie Burns takes a look..

Sky Bet Championship action returns to Elland Road this weekend, with Leeds United welcoming Burton Albion to West Yorkshire.

Thomas Christiansen’s side have made an impressive start to the 2017/18 campaign, remaining unbeaten across all competitions and currently sitting third in the Championship table.

They will be looking to continue that unbeaten run this weekend against Burton, who after a tricky start to the season, were beginning to find their feet heading into last week’s international break.

Nigel Clough’s side are unbeaten in their last two Championship fixtures, picking up four-points from clashes with Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday.

The Brewers will be heading to Elland Road full of confidence following those results, and despite many fancying Leeds to continue their impressive start against the Championship minnows, Christiansen’s side will not find it easy.

Leeds have looked far more impressive away from home in the Championship, picking up three victories from trips to Bolton, Sunderland and Nottingham Forest, but failing to record a victory in either of their home fixtures.

Clough will be looking to take something away from Leeds on Saturday afternoon, but defence could be Burton’s best form of attack, with Christiansen’s side giving very little away in the early stage of the season.

The Brewers’ chance of picking up a positive result will depend on how they deal with Leeds’ attacking trio of Ezgjan Alioski, Samuel Saiz and Pablo Hernandez, who so far this season have looked unplayable.

Despite contrasting fortune from the first five fixtures of the season, it could be a tight encounter at Elland Road on Saturday between Leeds and Burton.

We believe that Leeds will have just too much for the visitors and will edge the contest.

Score Prediction: Leeds United 2 – 1 Burton Albion
