Bristol City could still sneak a play-off spot with just a handful of games remaining, but even if Lee Johnson's side fail to finish in the top-six, the current campaign will go down in the history books at Ashton Gate as one to remember.

Having flirted with relegation for much of last season, the Robins stormed to a promotion challenge this time out, reaching the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup with memorable victories over the likes of Watford and Manchester United before succumbing to perhaps the best team in the history of English football in the form of Manchester City over two legs.

The squad has been sensational, with each man standing up to challenge, but central defender Aden Flint once again proving to those across the game that he should be playing at a higher level.

The Premier League beckons for the former Swindon Town man whatever happens at Ashton Gate in the final weeks, with this trio of top-flight sides sure to be chasing his signature...

The Clarets have been the surprise story of the Premier League this term, with manager Sean Dyche inspiring his men to challenge Arsenal for a place in the top-six, a remarkable achievement for the small club from Lancashire.

Their success has been built upon the foundation of central defensive pairing James Tarkowski and Ben Mee, with the former rewarded for his fine displays with a first England cap against Italy last week.

However, the partnership could be broken if bigger clubs eye Tarkowski as an addition and Dyche simply must turn to Flint with the handsome sum he will receive for the former Brentford man's services.

Flint is a commanding presence at the back and although not as good with the ball at his feet as Tarkowski, is one of the top replacements should he indeed depart Turf Moor in the summer.

Success could be achieved at the London Stadium by playing three at the back, and pairing Flint with Angelo Ogbonna and Winston Reid would provide the Hammers with one of the most aggressive back-lines in the country.

Since their switch to the former Olympic Stadium the club have lost their identity, with the passion seemingly sucked from the squad and the fans.

An influx of those that player for the badge is required to get the faithful hordes back on side, and Flint is exactly the type of man to provide this in abundance.

Playing with his heart on his sleeve wherever he has been, fans will take to the defender with ease, especially given the fact that he would severely improve upon their current options within the squad.

The pairing of Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy has proven to be one of the most consistent in the top-flight, made all the more impressive by the fact that the pair have played the majority of their football away from England's elite division, with Dunk tasting Premier League action for the first time this season.

However, just like Mee and Tarkowski, the duo may be separated in the summer with their current form sure to have not gone unnoticed, and Brighton will consider themselves extremely lucky if bids are not launched for one, or even both of them in the coming months.

Replacements will need to be found and Flint could present the perfect option, with the 28-year-old yet to taste Premier League football himself and just as effective in all areas as the current Brighton pairing.

His threat from set-pieces will also appeal to boss Chris Hughton, who has seen his side concede an eye-watering seventeen goals from dead ball situations this term, 40% of the overall strikes against them.

Robins fans, will Flint leave?
